Julie lives and works in Central Australia where the local arts community is extraordinarily active and provides on-going stimulus for inspiration. Her ideas of overlapping histories / fragmented boundaries / transient states-of-being, make up the underlying framework for her artwork.
A desire to try new techniques across a variety of artforms generates a freshness of vision. Julie’s love for trees has led her to use them as a symbol to express environmental concerns. Drawing with charcoal remains a favoured passion.
